The holidays are in full swing and Downtown Wilmington has so much to offer families, shoppers and everyone looking to get in a festive mood!

Santa Saturdays!

Beat the hustle and bustle of the mall to get your chance to tell Santa what you want for Christmas!

On Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 and 17 Santa Claus will be at the Delaware History Museum from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The museum is located at 504 N. Market St.

There is no cost to see Santa or take pictures with him. If you do not have a camera on hand, we will take a picture and email it to you at a later time.

Gingerbread Lane!

WRC has partnered with local schools to create a Gingerbread Lane along Market St.! Nine schools created 19 gingerbread houses which are on display for the month of December in various businesses along Market St. The public can vote on their top three favorite houses!

The winners will be announced on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. on the Copeland Room above the Delaware History Museum (504 N. Market St.). In addition to the public vote, celebrity judges Dana Herbert of TLC's The Next Great Baker and Jennifer Behm of MasterChef Season 2 will also choose their top design. Voting sheets can be picked up at any of the locations and the completed sheets can be put in any of the ballot boxes along Gingerbread Lane.

Storefront Designs!

As you stroll along Gingerbread Lane and visit the merchants on Market St., be sure to check out the amazing holiday and seasonal scenes painted on the windows. WRC partnered with the Delaware College of Art & Design (DCAD) to arrange for students to paint the scenes on merchant windows throughout the downtown.

The scenes add a festive environment to our downtown!
