More than just a good time
In addition to just having a great time on Market Street in downtown Wilmington--the event offered two ways to get on your bike and help a charity!
The Habitat for Humanity Bike to Build left Rodney Square on Saturday, May 16 at 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. (three different distances for the various skill levels). The goal of the ride is to raise awareness and funds to build a home in Wilmington!
During the Wilmington Grand Prix, attendees also joined the Family Bike Parade! The $5 registration fee benefited the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the team with the most riders won $1,500 for its charity of choice!
