Downtown Fall Fest

Head to the Downtown Fall Fest, a FREE event, on Saturday, November 1 as Market Street from 5th to 9th Streets is transformed into a free, family-friendly, fall event! From moon bounces, a skate jam, hay bale mazes, and apple bobbing to live entertainment, hayrides and a sports zone, the event will have something for everyone! 

Local farmers and art vendors will sell their goods while local restaurants offer up tasty meals!

As you travel up Market Street, you can enjoy the Delaware Historical Society's Smoke Eaters! Fire Saftey activities and the firet truck display of antique and contemporary trucks. While you check out the smoke house and the fire trucks, the popular music group Tomato Can will perform.

The Grand Opera House will look a bit different on this day as it turns into The Haunted Opera House! Local organizations took different rooms in The Grand to create spooky creations for all to enjoy. Grab your safe treats bag and check out the live entertainment!

Be sure to keep out the kids' costumes from the night before so they can participate in the Costume Parade and Contest! Pets are welcome to show off their costumes as well!

At noon, the costume parade will kick off at the Delaware Historical Society's arch on the 500 block of Market Street and make its way to the front of The Grand. The local celebrity judges will take a look at each group and winners will be chosen to pick from a cool array of prizes!

There will also be a special category for pets who come dressed up as well!

Every child will receive a trick-or-treat bag with some goodies already in it and then they can make their way to the various activities throughout the event to collect more treats (of the non-candy variety!).
